Build with the API
API quickstart
For developers: create an API key in the console, then make your first request. About five minutes.
Create an API key
Sign in to the console, open Settings → API keys and press Create an API key. Give it a name that says where it will live, such as “Production server” or “Zapier”.
The key is shown once. We store only a hash of it, so it cannot be shown again. Copy it before you close the dialog. Owners and admins can create keys.Put it in your environment
Every example reads the key from
PREPAID_API_KEY. Keep it in your server’s environment or secret store, never in browser code, a mobile app or a repository.Terminalexport PREPAID_API_KEY="pk_live_your_key_here"Make your first request
Your balance is the simplest read there is.
GET /api/v1/balancecurl https://app.prepaid.ai/api/v1/balance \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $PREPAID_API_KEY"Response{ "workspaceId": "3f6c1e70-9a4d-4a58-b6a2-2f0f0f9d1c11", "credits": 1280}Read your calls
The same key reads everything else. List calls returns the newest first, and one call carries its transcript.
Terminalcurl "https://app.prepaid.ai/api/v1/calls?limit=5" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $PREPAID_API_KEY"

There is no test or sandbox mode. Every key reads your real workspace. That is safe, because every endpoint only reads.
