Documentation / Numbers
Identity verification
What each country’s carriers ask for before issuing a number.
What is required differs by country, and it is carrier regulation rather than our policy.
- United States and Canada — nothing. Numbers are instant.
- New Zealand — contact details and a physical address. Both are text fields; no documents.
- Australia — one document (proof of address), plus address and contact details.
- United Kingdom — two documents plus four text fields.
After you submit#
We check with the carrier every night and email you the verdict. An approval arrives together with your new number, because to you those are one piece of news. A rejection carries the carrier’s own reasons, so you know exactly what to fix.
